Physiotherapy uses physical movement, exercise, education, manual therapy and modalities to improve pain, mobility, and physical function. First, we discuss your health history, your current concerns, and your goals. Next, we do a thorough physical assessment to understand what factors are contributing to your symptoms. Pelvic health physical assessment may or may not include internal vaginal and/or rectal exams. Internal exams are never mandatory, and patients are always provided with alternatives to internal exams. The physical assessment informs the exercise and other treatments that you receive, and is tailored and personalized process that aims to meet you where you're at, and propel you to where you want to go.
